Domain Transfer in Your Personal Account

To initiate a domain transfer, inform your current domain registrar about your desire to transfer the domain to us, and request the domain transfer authorization code, open all data in whois, and unlock the domain for transfer.

Next, in your personal account in the “Domain Names” section, you need to initiate the transfer of the domain name, enter the transfer authorization code if it is used, and fill out the information forms - they should contain the domain owner’s data similar to the data provided by the current registrar. After we send the transfer request, sometimes you need to confirm the request in an email sent to the domain administrator’s email.

Domain transfer is a paid service for some domain zones and costs the same as renewing the domain for 1 year. During the domain transfer, the domain is automatically extended by +1 year from the existing expiration date.

Specifics of Transfer in Different Domain Zones

Your current domain registrar may request information about the new registrar from you. For different domain zones, this information varies:

1. UA, COM.UA ORG.UA KIEV.UA CK.UA VN.UA ZT.UA CN.UA KM.UA RV.UA CV.UA IF.UA KS.UA UZ.UA PL.UA, LT.UA, VOLYN.UA, TE.UA, KR.UA, LVIV.UA - Transfer is paid with a renewal of +1 year and requires a transfer code. Our identifier for these domains is UA.THEHOST. Legal name: FOP “Sedinkin A. V.” The transfer code is valid for 30 days from the generation date. The transfer completes either within 5 days of initiation or immediately after confirmation by the current outgoing registrar.

2. NET.UA DN.UA KH.UA LG.UA ZP.UA SM.UA SUMY.UA - Transfer is paid with a renewal of +1 year and requires a transfer code. Our identifier for these domains is CO.THEHOST. Legal name: FOP “Sedinkin A. V.” The transfer code is valid for 30 days from the generation date. The transfer completes either within 5 days of initiation or immediately after confirmation by the current outgoing registrar.

3. BIZ.UA, CO.UA, PP.UA, CRIMEA.UA - A transfer code is required; Transfer is FREE for all these zones. The identifier for these zones is UA.DRS. Legal name: LLC “Service Online”, user: thehost-mnt-cunic. The transfer completes after confirmation by the current outgoing registrar.

4. DP.UA Identifier: dp.thehost. Legal name: SP Sedinkin A.V. Transfer is paid with a renewal of +1 year and requires a transfer code. The transfer completes either within 5 days of initiation or immediately after confirmation by the current outgoing registrar.

5. COM, NET, ORG, BIZ, INFO, NAME, US, EU, IN, PRO, все newGTLD (тематические) домены - Transfer is only paid with a renewal of +1 year and requires a transfer code, removal of transfer lock status, and opening of all data in the domain’s whois. Registrar: PDR LTD. After initiating the transfer, several similar emails about creating a new contact, making changes to the domain, and changing the registrar are sent to the old and new domain administrators’ emails (if they are different) - all changes must be confirmed by clicking on the consent link, and the transfer completes within 5-6 days after confirmation.

6. RU, РФ, COM.RU, NET.RU, ORG.RU нA transfer code is required. Identifier: R01-RU. Legal name: AO “Registrar R01”. Transfer is paid, but the domain is not renewed for +1 year, meaning only the registrar change is essentially paid for. The transfer completes within 5 days after confirmation by the domain administrator in the email sent to them. The transfer code is valid for 20 days. Conditions under which changing the registrar for a domain is impossible: - if the registration period expires within the next 7 days; - if the registration period of the domain name has expired; - within 30 days from the moment the administrator received the right to administer from another person; - within 30 days from the moment of changing the registrar supporting the domain name; - if the registrar’s request for providing information and documents is not fulfilled within the specified period; - if there is a legal process involving a dispute regarding the specified domain name. During the transfer (change of registrar) of the domain, the administrator (owner) of the domain does not change. Changing the administrator is possible after the transfer.
